Government institutions are required to follow strict rules in order to make a purchase. In fact, there is a Law for public purchases.

Purchase Mechanisms

Some of the purchase mechanisms are:

  • Compra agil (Less than 3000 USD)
  • Licitaciones (Public Bidding)
  • Convenio Marco (Public ecommerce stores for specific industries)
  • Gran Compra
  • Direct Deal (last resourse, needs to qualify and explanation)
